It occurred to me the other day that I never did get entirely through my favorite children's series when I was, you know, a child. In fact, there's a good chunk of volumes and super specials I never got around to at all. For some reason that started to bother me, more than the fact that the volumes I do own are scattered all over my attic in complete disarray.
So, what does one do in this situation? One organizes those books and then trots out to the library to browse through the ones she never read.
This is my little trip through the Thoroughbred Series, maybe randomly but probably not. I will post it all here, in a confused and mildly hysterical manner for anyone who read the books and wants that extra bit of nostalgia they're not sure they wanted. Hell, still have your own? Follow along and feel free to comment until your fingers hurt. We've got seventy-two volumes to get through and plenty of Triple Crowns to run. Go, baby, go.
